A natural oasis protected since 1979, the Cervia Saltworks Park extends over 827 hectares and has Etruscan origins. It belongs together with the centuries-old pine forest to the southern part of the Po Delta Regional Park. The impressive Cervia saltworks have been dedicated to the extraction of salt, the "white gold" of Romagna since ancient times. Today, the entire area is a cultural and historical heritage and can be experienced through group tours and tastings or through guided walks between the canals and the salt marshes at sunset.
